La masonería es uno de los temas recurrentes en la actual cultura de masas, debido al su halo de misterio y leyenda. Por ello, este trabajo analiza el tratamiento que esta industria ha desarrollado sobre la hermandad. Y, para ello, ha seleccionado el ejemplo de la serie televisiva, Los Simpson. Esta retrata humorísticamente diferentes comportamientos de la sociedad estadounidense. Entre ellos, el de las sociabilidades. En uno de sus capítulos, el protagonista Homero, se une a una agrupación masónica. Así, en la presente investigación se analiza la imagen y el mensaje que, sobre las logias, propaga dicho producto audiovisual.

Freemasonry is one of the recurring themes in the current mass culture, due to the halo of mystery and legend that has -traditionally- surrounded this entity. For this reason, this essay analyzes the treatment that the industry, has developed on the Brotherhood, and for this purpose, a television series; The Simpson has been selected. This production humorously portrays different behaviors of American society, among them, its sociability. In one of the chapters of this caricature, the protagonist Homer joins a Masonic group. Thus, the present investigation will analyze the message that this specific audiovisual product broadcasts on Masonic Lodges.
