The article reviews the socio-spatial location of ethnoracialized migrants in the figures of "ethnic enclaves" and "border territories". It seeks to deepen in the transnational and intersectional theoretical perspectives to problematize the location/position of migrants in destination cities, under both spatial figures. To this end, the approach to the North-South and South-South migration phenomenon was reviewed, and the predominance of the figure of ethnic enclaves in the analysis of the location of North-South migrants and the figure of border territories for South-South migrants was identified. The conclusions point to the challenges of intersectionality in the theoretical and empirical construction of urban spatial notions.
