Decir lo indecible: la imaginación como último recurso

    Este artículo plantea antecedentes de la estética del silencio como necesidad del ser humano de decir lo indecible y atestiguar las limitaciones e insuficiencias del lenguaje. Primero, rastrea la herrumbre de los signos como marca del escritor al que le faltan o no le alcanzan las palabras. Luego, plantea la crisis del lenguaje como fenómeno en el que la imagen del mundo ya no se puede aprehender solo a través del código lingüístico. Como conclusión, se concibe a la sociedad contemporánea como una «tribu» enmudecida y ensordecida que tiene a la imaginación como último recurso para poder decir lo indecible.

    This article presents antecedents of the aesthetics of silence as a human need to say the unspeakable and testify to the limitations and the insufficiency of language. First, it traces the rust of signs as the mark of a writer who lacks words, or whose words are insufficient. Then, it states the crisis of language as a phenomenon in which the image of the world cannot be grasped through the linguistic code. As a conclusion, contemporary society is conceived as a muted and deaf tribe for whom the imagination is the last resource to say the unspeakable.
