Resumen de La iconografía del salvaje. Ejemplos plásticos en la arquitectura ubetense del S. XVI

El presente trabajo trata sobre la temática iconográfica del salvaje; desde su apariencia y atributos que configuran su representación plástica en el Arte, su origen literario que sistematizó una figura que alcanzó un gran apogeo a partir del s. XV en el Arte Hispánico, hasta su conversión exegética en el s. XVI y posterior subsistencia a lo largo del s. XVII. Simultáneamente hemos realizado un análisis de su proyección iconográfica en la ciudad de Úbeda estudiando la forma en que fue plasmada la imagen del salvaje en edificios civiles, caso de la Portada del Caballerizo Ortega o Casa de los Salvajes entre otros, e incluso en arquitectura religiosa como la Sacra Capilla de El Salvador.

The present work deals with the thematic iconography of the savage; from its appea- rance and attributes that make up its artistic representation in Art, its literary origin systematized a figure that reached a great apogee from the s. XV in Hispanic Art, until its exegetical conversion in the s. XVI and later subsistence throughout the s. XVII. Simultaneously we have carried out an analysis of its iconographic projection in the city of Úbeda, studying the way in which the image of the savage was depicted in civil buildings, in the case of the Cover of the Ortega Caballerizo or House of the Savages, and even in religious architecture such as the Sacra Chapel of the Salvator.
