Resumen de Club de matemáticas lúdicas para estudiantes del Liceo La Colina-Quito

  Un club matemático es un espacio para contemplar la matemática desde ángulos que habitualmente no están presentes en la práctica escolar: el experimental, el estético, recreativo y cultural. Tributando a la misión que tiene el Liceo la Colina (Quito, Ecuador) de formar estudiantes con iniciativa y creatividad desde temprana edad, con un proceso de enseñanza personalizada, bilingüe, de exigencia académica y orientada al desarrollo de competencias; en un ambiente afectivo y con valores, contribuyendo a su crecimiento personal, social y académico. De acuerdo a lo mencionado, fue que surgió la iniciativa de proponer un club de matemáticas con espacios de trabajo lúdicos, en los cuales los alumnos del Liceo La Colina tengan la oportunidad de integración, interacción y desarrollo de los procesos cognitivos, alrededor de los desafíos matemáticos actuales. El alcance de esta investigación tributa en despertar en los estudiantes el gusto, por las matemáticas, puesto que constituye una riqueza muy valiosa dentro del saber cotidiano y científico, además de interactuar en un espacio especial, creando e inventando juegos lógicos de pensamiento, para explotar su potencial mental y que lo puedan aplicar a su cotidianidad desde el contexto de la Institución.

  A mathematics club is an environment to contemplate mathematics from angles that are not usually present in school practice: the experimental, the aesthetic, the recreational and the cultural. Taxing the Mission that the Liceo la Colina has to train students with initiative and creativity from an early age with a personalized, bilingual teaching process that is academically demanding and aimed at developing skills; in an affective environment and with values, contributing to their personal, social and academic growth. The initiative arose to Propose a Mathematics Club with playful work spaces, in which the students of the Liceo la Colina have the opportunity of integration, interaction and development of cognitive processes around current mathematical challenges. The scope of this research contributes to awakening in the students of La Colina High School the taste for mathematics, since it constitutes a very valuable wealth within the daily and scientific knowledge in addition to interacting in a special space, creating and inventing logical thinking games, to exploit their mental potential and that they can apply it to their daily life from the context of the Institution.
