At the beginning of the fourth century, Christianity ceased to be a religion persecuted by the Roman Empire. By the end of the same century, it had become the official religion of the Romans. We intend to analyze the circulations and uses of Christianity in that period, acting with the imperial power in Constantinople. For this, we will analyze two specific cases: Constantine, through his biographer, Eusebius of Caesarea, and Justinian, who in the 6th century commanded the Wars of Reconquest, being written by Procopius of Caesarea in the History of the Wars.

No início do século IV, o cristianismo deixou de ser uma religião perseguida pelo Império Romano. No fim do mesmo século, havia se tornado a religião oficial dos romanos.
Pretendemos aqui analisar as circulações e usos do cristianismo nesse período, junto ao poder imperial em Constantinopla. Para tanto, analisaremos dois casos pontuais: o de Constantino, através de seu biógrafo, Eusébio de Cesareia, e Justiniano, que no século VI empreendeu as chamadas Guerras de Reconquista, sendo registradas por Procópio de Cesareia na História das Guerras.
