  El Checklist o Lista de Verificación (LVQ) tiene como objetivo principal reforzar una práctica segura por parte del personal quirúrgico, aumentar la comunicación entre los componentes del equipo y evitar los errores evitables.

  Para la elaboración del presente trabajo se ha llevado a cabo una investigación consistente en una revisión bibliográfica sobre la literatura existente.

  La principal conclusión es que la LVQ es una herramienta muy efectiva si se rellena correctamente y entra en la dinámica de trabajo del equipo, para que no resulte como algo impuesto por la dirección del centro y que entorpezca el trabajo del día a día.

  The main objective of the Checklist or Verification List (LVQ) is to reinforce a safe practice by surgical personnel, increase communication between the components of the team and avoid avoidable errors.

  For the preparation of this work, an investigation consisting of a bibliographic review on the existing literature has been carried out.

  The main conclusion is that the LVQ is a very effective tool if it is filled in correctly and enters into the team’s work dynamics, so that it does not result as something imposed by the management of the center and hinders the day-to-day work.
