  Las fracturas de stress pueden suceder en cualquier hueso, siendo muy frecuente en los metatarsianos. Pueden suceder en huesos normales que están sometidos a cargas cíclicas de forma repetida de menor intensidad, causan la fractura aguda del hueso. Se distinguen dos tipos de fractura de stress: fractura por fatiga que se produce a consecuencia de un estrés anormal sobre un hueso con resistencia normal elástica y fractura por insuficiencia donde el estrés normal tiene lugar en un hueso deficiente. La exploración clínica nos permite ver su diagnóstico, pero se debe de realizar una RX simple para confirmar su diagnóstico.

  Stress fractures can occur in any bone, being very common in the metatarsals. They can occur in normal bones that are repeatedly subjected to cyclic loads that are of less intensity, causing acute bone fracture. Two types of stress fracture are distinguished: fatigue fracture that occurs as a result of abnormal stress on a bone with normal elastic resistance and insufficiency fracture where normal stress occurs in deficient bone. The clinical examination allows us to see your diagnosis, but a simple X-ray must be performed to confirm your diagnosis.
