    Esta monografía estudia aspectos específicos de los cuidados paliativos como un derecho humano. Se analizan las prescripciones de la Convención Interamericana sobre la Protección de los Derechos Humanos de las Personas Mayores y del sistema internacional de promoción y protección de los derechos humanos de Naciones Unidas, identificando de qué forma se han considerado los cuidados paliativos. Del mismo modo, se analiza la Agenda 2030 de Naciones Unidas, doctrina y jurisprudencia para establecer las relaciones existentes con los cuidados paliativos. Finalmente, se plantean reflexiones en orden al estatus jurídico de los cuidados paliativos en el sistema internacional de derechos humanos.

    This monograph studies specific aspects of palliative care as a human right. The prescriptions of the Inter-American Convention on Protecting the Human Rights of Older Persons and of the international system for the promotion and protection of human rights of the United Nations are analyzed, identifying how palliative care has been considered. In the same way, the United Nations 2030 Agenda, doctrine and jurisprudence are analyzed to establish the existing relationships with palliative care. Finally, reflections are raised regarding the legal status of palliative care in the international human rights system.
