Resumen de La rurbanidad ausente: Visibilidades e invisibilidades mediáticas

  El trabajo se ocupa de analizar el modo en que los medios dan visibilidad a un sector social que resuelve su existencia catando basura, mediante el empleo de carros y caballos en la ciudad de Río Cuarto (Argentina). Los carreros o cirujas, entre otras denominaciones, se enfocan aquí como actores rurbanos. El texto se ocupa de mostrar la mirada que, particularmente la prensa y la televisión local, construyen en torno al sector, la cual hace visibles algunos rasgos en detrimento de otros, y abona ciertas estigmatizaciones. En ese sentido, se discuten los presupuestos que sostienen dicha mirada, se ofrecen líneas interpretativas que la complejizan y se propone una perspectiva diferente para comprender y promover, frente a ese cuadro rurbano, otras lecturas socialmente plausibles.

  The work deals with analyzing how the media gives visibility to a social sector that meets your trash tasting existence through the use of chariots and horses in the city of Rio Cuarto. The cart drivers, rag pickers and recyclers, among other names, focus here Rurbano actors. The text shows that particularly the local tv and the press make visible some features over others and paying certain stigmatization. In this regard, we discuss the budgets that support that view and offer different interpretations that complicate and proposes a different perspective to understand and promote this Rurbano table against other socially plausible readings.
