Resumen de Creencias implícitas sobre la habilidad deportiva en balonmano según el género y puesto específico del jugador

  El objetivo de este estudio fue describir las creencias implícitas sobre la naturaleza de la habilidad deportiva de los jugadores de balonmano, así como analizar la influencia del género y del puesto específico del jugador en ellas. La muestra estuvo compuesta por 444 deportistas de alto rendimiento (233 chicos y 211 chicas; M = 16.70; DT = .49). Estos deportistas cumplimentaron la Escala de Creencias Implícitas sobre la Habilidad. Se realizó un análisis descriptivo con correlaciones bivariadas junto a dos análisis multivariantes (MANOVA). Los resultados demostraron que para la mayoría de los jugadores de balonmano analizados, la habilidad deportiva es algo mejorable por medio del aprendizaje, el esfuerzo y el entrenamiento. Según su género, los chicos presentaron una mayor creencia en la habilidad como entidad basada en el talento, al contrario que las chicas que percibieron una mayor creencia sobre la habilidad como incremental. En función al puesto específico de juego, se halló que los valores de creencia de habilidad incremental fueron superiores en los jugadores de la segunda línea ofensiva (extremos y pivotes).

  The aim of this study was to describe the implicit beliefs of ability of the handball players, as well as to analyze the influence of the gender and the specific position of the player in them. The sample was comprised of 444 youth high performance players (233 boys and 211 girls; M = 16.70; SD = .49). These players completed the Spanish version of the Conceptions of the Nature of Athletic Ability Questionnaire-2. A descriptive analysis was performed with bivariate correlations together with two multivariate analyzes (MANOVA). The results revealed that for the majority of the handball players analyzed, the sport ability is improved through learning, effort and training. According to gender, boys presented a greater belief in the ability as an entity based on talent, unlike the girls who perceived a greater belief in the ability as incremental. Based on the specific game position, it was found that the incremental belief of ability values were higher in the players of the second offensive line (wings and pivots).
