  • El presente artículo analiza un opúsculo de la obra hagiográfica Vitas Sanctorum Patrum Emeretensium (VSPE), concretamente el primero, en el cual se describe una aparición fantasmal de la cual se estudian sus elementos constituyentes, especialmente los relacionados con los relatos de fantasmas, pues este texto constituye un ejemplo único frente al resto de episodios o motivos similares recogidos en la producción hagiográfica hispana del siglo VII.Palabras clave: Hagiografía, Relatos de fantasmas, Literatura hispanovisigoda.A HISPANOVISIGOTHIC GHOST’S TALE: THE CASE OF THE YOUNG AUGUSTUSAbstract: The present excerpt analyses the Vitas Sanctorum Patrum Emeritensium's (VSPE) first opusculum which contains an example of a ghost's aparition. We describe its main features and elements, specially those related to the ghost's tales, since the text constitutes a unique example of that kind of narrative structure among the rest of the Hispanic hagiographical literature of the same period, the VIIth  century.Key words: Hagiography, Ghost narratives, Hispanovisigothic literature.
