    Desde su génesis, tanto el arte moderno y aún mucho más el arte contemporáneo pusieron en jaque la disciplina de la conservación. La arbitrariedad en el hacer del artista del último siglo ha exigido un cambio radical en la forma de trabajar del restaurador, que involucra no solamente un nuevo abordaje teórico sino, también, una metodología distinta de intervención.

    From its genesis, both modern and more so contemporary art have put the discipline of conservation in check. The arbitrariness in the work of the artist in the last century has required a radical change in the way of working of the restorer, which involves not only a new theoretical approach but also a different methodology of intervention.
