El Convenio Europeo del Paisaje elaborado por el Consejo de Europa, aprobado en Florencia el 20 de octubre de 2000, supuso un hito en la introducción de la protección del paisaje en los ordenamientos jurídicos.
La protección del medio ambiente había sido objeto de regulación, en mayor o menor medida, pero no así el paisaje, con igual importancia y que debía ser objeto de regulación, tras la ratificación por España del CEP el 26 de noviembre de 2007. Tras el análisis histórico y comparado de la protección del medio ambiente al igual que del paisaje es necesario analizar la legislación estatal y autonómica al respecto para conocer como han legislado, en particular, las comunidades autónomas al respecto, además de conocer cómo se augura que será la futura ley del paisaje de Castilla-La Mancha, imprescindible para un desarrollo sostenible.

The European Landscape Convention drafted by the Council of Europe, approved in Florence on October 20, 2000, was a milestone in the introduction of landscape protection into legal systems. The protection of the environment had been subject to regulation, to a greater or lesser extent, but not the landscape, with equal importance and which should be subject to regulation, after the ratification by Spain of the CEP on November 26, 2007.
After the Historical and comparative analysis of the protection of the environment, as well as the landscape, it is necessary to analyze the state and regional legislation in this regard to know how they have legislated, in particular, the autonomous communities in this regard, in addition to knowing how it is predicted that the future will be landscape law of Castilla-La Mancha, essential for sustainable development.
