La fiesta barroca es suma de componentes efímeros y permanentes, de sentidos desbordados ante el cúmulo de manifestaciones que el poder presenta. La mayor parte de los elementos festivos que confluyen en el escenario celebrativo del barroco juegan con varios sentidos. Esta característica plurisensitiva marca igualmente los fuegos artificiales, donde se unen el fuego, el ruido, la luz y el color para dar lugar a una creación donde se resumen los contenidos propagandísticos y formales de estos festejos. En Bizkaia la fiesta va a emplear también este recurso de forma habitual. Todo lo que fuera necesario para crear la ficción de una sociedad tan luminosa y poderosa como las luces festivas que se alzaban en sus calles y sus cielos.

The baroque festival is the union of ephemeral and permanent components, senses overwhelmed by the accumulation of manifestations that powerful people show. Most of the festive elements that converge in the celebratory setting of the baroque play with several senses. This multisensory characteristic also defines the fireworks, where fire, noise, light and color come together to generate a creation where the propagandistic and formal contents of these festivities are shown in all splendor. In Bizkaia the festival also use this resource in a habitual way. All that was necessary to create the fiction of a society as luminous and powerful as the festive lights that rose in their streets and skies.
