Resumen de Volver a las relaciones de causas: el ejemplo de los berberiscos del reino de Granada

  Desde los años noventa del siglo pasado, el recurso a las relaciones de causas ha sido abandonado por los investigadores. Se aboga aquí por un retorno a un uso cuantitativo como cualitativo de estas fuentes. Se toma el ejemplo del examen de la comunidad acusada de profesar el islam en el ámbito del Tribunal de la Inquisición de Granada entre 1571 y 1590 (moriscos, renegados, berberiscos) poniendo énfasis sobre estos últimos, casi siempre esclavos o libertos.

  Since the 1990s, researchers have abandoned the study of relaciones de causas (relations of cause). A return to a quantitative as well as a qualitative use of these sources is advocated here. The example taken for this is the investigation of a community accused of practising Islam within the territory of the Tribunal of the Inquisition of Granada between 1571 and 1590 (Moriscos, backsliders, Berbers), emphasizing the latter who were almost always slaves or freedmen.

Hemen defendatzen da iturri horiek berriz ere erabiltzen hasi beharra dagoela, bai kuantitatiboki, bai kualitatiboki. Adibide gisa hartzen da Granadako Inkisizio Auzitegiaren esparruko komunitate baten azterlana. 1571 eta 1590 artean komunitate horri leporatu zioten islameko kultuan aritzen zela. Komunitatea moriskoek, errenegatuek eta berbereek osatzen zuten, eta azterlanean azken horiek lantzen dira bereziki (gehienetan esklaboak edo libertoak ziren).
