Resumen de Situación de los recursos turísticos de las comunidades rurales del Occidente de Nicaragua para desarrollar Turismo Rural Comunitario

El turismo rural comunitario al igual que en Latinoamérica es una nueva modalidad que está apareciendo con fuerza en los últimos años en Nicaragua, pero todavía se requiere de algunas iniciativas tanto del sector público como del privado para poderlo desarrollar en su totalidad en las áreas rurales del país. Asimismo, se necesita que las leyes reguladoras del sector turístico principalmente las que tienen que ver con el turismo rural comunitario sean más pegadas a la realidad del país para que de esta manera las comunidades rurales puedan desarrollar dicha actividad, ya que por ahora se les presentan muchas limitaciones para su debida ejecución. Nicaragua es un país con gran potencial turístico en sus comunidades rurales y en donde las personas están dispuestas a trabajar con este tipo de actividad turística, no olvidando que es una actividad complementaria a las actividades cotidianas que han venido desarrollando desde épocas pasadas. Por supuesto, esta actividad requiere de una planificación para su debida gestión y evitar de esta manera diferentes aspectos negativos al momento que lo estén desarrollando los comunitarios.

Rural community-based tourism in the same way that in Latin America is a new modality that is strongly appearing in recent year in Nicaragua, but it still requires some initiatives of the public sector as of the private one to develop it in its totality in the rural areas of our country. Likewise, it needs that the regulatory laws of the tourism sector mainly the ones that are related to rural community-based tourism have to be stuck with the country’s reality allowing rural communities to develop such activity because nowadays they show a lot of limitations for its proper execution. Nicaragua is a country with a big tourism potential of its rural communities where people are willing to work with this type of tourism activity, not forgetting that it is a complementary activity to the activities they have been doing in the past. By all means, this activity requires of planning for its adequate management and avoiding in this way the different negative aspects when the community members are developing it
