    El presente artículo de investigación aborda el problema del proyecto del Partido Nacional (Chile) en relación con el contexto político, económico y social del periodo que comprende los años entre 1966 y 1973, a saber, la crisis del Estado desarrollista y la búsqueda de una solución política plausible para salir de dicha situación. Su objetivo es comprender el desarrollo histórico de la ideología del partido y de su visión sobre lo que deberían ser las relaciones entre Individuo y Estado. A partir de una revisión documental sobre la ideología del Partido Nacional, y desde una óptica que privilegia la historia política como enfoque metodológico, se sostiene que la ideología de este partido presenta una propuesta para transformar estas relaciones, en la que coexisten ideas de corte liberal, conservador y nacionalista. Esta propuesta se fundamenta en un sistema de creencias que propone rescatar el valor de la iniciativa privada por sobre la acción del Estado, pero que justifica su legitimidad debido al interés de la comunidad nacional.

    This article addresses the problem of the project of the Partido Nacional (Chile) in relation to the political, economic and social context of the period 1966-1973, namely, the crisis of the Developmentalist State and the search for a plausible political solution to get out of that situation. Its objective is to understand the historical development of the ideology of the party and its vision of what should be the relationship between the individuals and the state. Based on a documentary review of the ideology of the Partido Nacional and from a perspective that privileges political history as a methodological approach, we argue that the ideology of this party presents a proposal to transform the relationship between the individuals and the state, in which liberal, conservative and nationalist ideas coexist. This proposal is based on a belief system that proposes to rescue the value of private initiative over State action but justifies its legitimacy in the interest of the national community.
