    La idea central de este capítulo es que el logro de la igualdad de género no es solo un objetivo importante en sí mismo, sino que es además un factor capaz de acelerar el cumplimiento de la Agenda 2030 y la obtención de un futuro sostenible para todas las personas. Se explicará qué es el género y la perspectiva de género. Se analizarán los 17 objetivos desde esta perspectiva. Y como ejemplo más relevante se estudiará el caso del sur de Mali, recientemente visitado por la autora. El texto de mayor referencia será el informe de ONU Mujeres para 2018, Transformar las promesas en acción: la igualdad de género en la Agenda 2030, aunque no exclusivamente.

    The central idea of this chapter is that the achievement of gender equality is not only an important objective in itself, but also a factor capable of accelerating compliance with the 2030 Agenda and obtaining a sustainable future for all people. It will explain what gender is and the gender perspective. The 17 objectives will be analyzed from a gender perspective. It will study, as a more relevant example, the case of southern Mali, recently visited by the author. The text of greatest reference will be a report by UN Women for 2018, «Transforming promises into action: gender equality in the 2030 Agenda», although not exclusively.
