Resumen de Investigación en la creación y formación artística chilena: Caso UMCE

En el sistema educacional y específicamente en el universitario chileno, no se asocia aún la investigación con la producción artística, sin embargo, en las unidades académicas de formación en esa área, se evidencian formas de investigación asociadas a la práctica artística. Ilustrando esta afirmación, se presentan trabajos correspondientes a cinco artistas docentes y el de una tesis de pregrado, todos vinculados a la universidad Metropolitana de Cs. de la Educación. Dichas propuestas apuntan a situar la práctica artística, como un proceso de construcción de conocimiento, con resultado de obra. Este hecho permitiría, a la vez, poder inscribirla, bajo ciertas condiciones, como una forma de investigación en el ámbito académico, lo que produciría un giro fundamental a la concepción sobre el rol de la educación artística que se tiene hoy en nuestro sistema educacional.

In the educational system and specifically in the Chilean university, research is not yet associated with artistic production, however, in academic training units in that area, forms of research associated with artistic practice are evident. Illustrating this statement, works corresponding to five teaching artists and one of an undergraduate thesis are presented, all linked to the Metropolitan University of Cs. of Education. These proposals aim to situate artistic practice, as a process of construction of knowledge, with the result of work. This fact would allow, at the same time, to be able to enroll it, under certain conditions, as a form of research in the academic field, which would produce a fundamental twist to the conception of the role of artistic education that exists today in our educational system.
