Alexandre-Gabriel Lemonnier realizó entre 1850 y 1851 numerosas joyas para la reina española Isabel II. Entre ellas destacaron dos aderezos: uno de diamantes, esmeraldas y perlas con motivos vegetales y cintas, y el otro de diamantes y zafiros con florones heráldicos e inspiración medieval. Las joyas fueron presentadas en la Gran Exposición de Londres de 1851, siendo premiado Lemonnier con la Medalla del Consejo y alcanzando con ello el prestigio internacional. Documentos de archivo, catálogos oficiales, noticias de prensa y grabados permiten reconstruir la imagen, los detalles materiales y técnicos y la historia de estas joyas

Between 1850 and 1851, Alexandre-Gabriel Lemonnier created many jewels for the Spanish Queen Isabella II. Among them, two sets stood out: one with diamonds, emeralds and pearls in the form of vegetal motifs and ribbons, and the other made of diamonds and sapphires with heraldic fleurons and medieval inspiration. The jewels were presented at the Great Exhibition of 1851 in London, where Lemonnier was awarded with the Council Medal and thereby he achieved international prestige. Archive documents, official catalogues, press news and engravings allow the reconstruction of the image, the material and technical details and the history of these jewels
