  • Ripercorrendo le tappe che hanno segnato la storia e il processo d’integrazione delle diverse generazioni di italoamericani, l’autrice riflette su come i miti e le metafore siano cambiate nel corso del tempo e come esse abbiano influito sulla costruzione identitaria e sulla rappresentazione del sé di questi soggetti. Anche per i “nuovi migranti” italiani che scelgono di trasferirsi negli Stati Uniti, il sogno americano continua ad avere una grande forza attrattiva.

The American dream continues to have a great attractive force even on the “new Italian migrants” who choose to move to the United States.
