La investigación trata de vincular la Potsdamer Platz, convertida en un campo de matorrales tras la Segunda Guerra Mundial, con la propuesta de la Philarmonie de Berlín. La muestra que hacen Wim Wenders y Peter Handke, en la película El cielo sobre Berlín, evidencia los enfrentamientos entre la cultura y la barbarie, muestran los rastros de la Guerra que la película expresa, ante la necesidad de construir un espacio arquitectónico para la cultura en el lugar donde el límite del espacio fue destruido.
