“Extranjeros en tiempos revueltos”: figuras de lo extraño/extranjero en la telenovela Amar en tiempos revueltos

    El artículo propone una lectura de la telenovela española Amar en tiempos revueltos a partir de las figuras “extranjeras” que aparecen a lo largo de las primeras tres temporadas. Estas vienen a “revolver” de diferentes maneras la sociedad franquista de posguerra, articulando conflictos socio-históricos en la trama, pero remitiendo también a problemas actuales. El marco conceptual está conformado por el género –“extranjero asimilado” a su vez en España– que con su código narrativo particular estructura los con-flictos y sus soluciones.

    The article analyses the “foreign” characters that appear throughout the first three seasons of the Spanish telenovela Amar en tiempos revueltos. These characters come to “stir” the Francoist post-war society in different ways, articulating socio-historical conflicts in the plot, but also referring to current problems. The conceptual framework is shaped by the genre itself – an “assimilated foreigner” in Spain – which, with its particular narrative code, structures the conflicts and their solutions.
