En el artículo se busca indagar sobre la manera en que se produce el lugar habitado a partir de narrativas de habitantes de un municipio urbano periférico en la Ciudad de México. Con base en entrevistas a profundidad, tanto individuales como grupales, se subraya el papel de tramas, temporalidades, actores y eventos en la elaboración de puntos de referencia vitales. Se discute igualmente la relación entre narrativas e identidad so-cial a partir de las formas en que ha ocurrido el proceso de poblamiento del municipio
This article searches the way in which a living place is produced from the narratives of the dwellers of a peripheral urban neighborhood in Mexico City. Based on in-depth individual and group interviews, the role of the story line is highlighted, and so are the temporalities, actors and events for the elaboration of vital points of reference. The relation between narratives and social identity are discussed from the forms in which the process of populating the neighborhood
