    Se describen dos casos de mordedura y picadura en humanos causadas respectivamente por un ciempiés del género Scolopendra Linnaeus, 1756 y el hemíptero Rasahus thoracicus Stål, 1872. Los dos casos reportados ocurrieron en México. La primera víctima, una mujer de 54 años, fue mordida por un ciempiés Scolopendra sp. en un antebrazo; recibió tratamiento con medicamentos antibióticos, antialérgicos y antiinflamatorios. Al segundo, una mujer de 48 años, le picó el hemíptero R. thoracicus en la espinilla y en un dedo; no tuvo ningún tipo de tratamiento supervisado por un médico. Ambas pacientes se recuperaron sin secuelas.

    Two cases of bite and sting in humans caused, respectively, by a centipede belonging to the genus Scolopendra Linnaeus, 1756 and the hemipteran Rasahus thoracicus Stål, 1872 are described. The two reported cases occurred in Mexico. The first involved a 54 year old woman who was bitten by a Scolopendra sp. centipede in a forearm; she received treatment with antibiotics, antiallergic and anti-inflammatory drugs. The second, a 48 year old woman that was stung by the hemipteran R. thoracicus in the shin-bone and in a finger; she did not have any type of treatment supervised by a physician. Both patients recovered without sequelae.
