    This paper discusses whether the Roman jurisprudents of the classic period(150 BC – AD 284) elaborated the technical notion of the subjective right of property.Most of the opinions of nowadays affirm that they did elaborate it. Nevertheless theMichel Villey’s profound analyses in the opposite sense are studied here

    Este trabalho discute se os jurisconsultos romanos do período clássico (150 a.C.a 284 d.C.) elaboraram ou não a noção técnica de direito subjetivo de propriedade. Nosdias de hoje, a opinião majoritária afirma que o elaboraram. Porém, estudam-se aqui asprofundas análises de Michel Villey em sentido contrário.
