    Ens situem a la València moderna del segle XVI, les competències per aspirar al control gremial incentivà les tensions entre els col·lectius professionals més pròxims, els quals tenien l’objectiu de guanyar espai dins del cada vegada més complex món del treball artesanal. Són molts els gremis que s’enfrontaren entre ells, però no obstant, els plets que caracteritzaren els sastres i els pellers han segut considerats com uns dels processos més importants i de més llarg recorregut històric de conflictivitat gremial a la ciutat de València. Els processos ordenats cronològicament del 1535 al 1695 seran clau per comprendre els motius del conflicte, els arguments utilitzats per cada oficii com actuaren al respecte, analitzar qui foren els màxims afectats i arribar a desgranar les solucions que s’exposaren. Amb l’anàlisi podrem arribar a comprendre més detalladament l’ofici de sastres i pellers, adonar-nos de les característiques principals de cada gremi i discernir d’una manera més pròxima l’evolució històrica de cadascun d’ells. Un primer estudi doncs, que ens ajuda a comprendre la importància de les conflictivitats gremials entre aquests dos oficis i que a més, ens ajuda a mirar més enllà de la mera desobediència.

    We are in the modern Valencia of the 16th century where the powers to achieve the trade union control encouraged the tensions between the closest professional groups, which had the objective of gaining ground within the complex world of craftsmanship. There are many guilds that confronted each other, but however, the tailors and pellers lawsuits have been considered as one of the most important processes and the longest historical route of trade-union unrest in the city of Valencia. The processes arranged chronologically from 1535 to 1695 will be key to understanding the reasons for the conflict, the arguments used by each guild and how they acted in this regard, to analyze who were the most affected and explain the solutions. This analysis will allow us to understand tailors and pellers trade in more detail, to realize the main characteristics of each guild and discern the historical evolution of each one of them in a closer way. A first study, which helps us to understand the importance of guild conflicts between these two trades and helps us to look beyond disobedience.
