En este texto comento algunas de mis experiencias personales en relación con vivir al límite, al haber sido corresponsal de guerra durante muchos años (he cubierto diecisiete guerras) y al haber realizado y organizado numerosos viajes de gran aventura y riesgo (por ejemplo atravesé el Océano Pacífico en una balsa de juncos, y he llevado expediciones con mujeres que habían tenido cáncer y niños que habían sufrido acoso escolar o exclusión social a lugares como el Amazonas, el Annapurna o el Polo Norte.

In this text I comment on some of my personal experiences in relation to living on the edge, having been a war correspondent for many years (I have covered seventeen wars) and having made and organized numerous trips of great adventure and risk (for example I crossed the Ocean Pacific on a reed raft, and I have led expeditions with women who have had cancer and children who have suffered bullying or social exclusion to places like the Amazon, Annapurna or the North Pole.
