  Para algunos, la enfermería sigue viéndose relegada a la práctica de una serie de técnicas sanitarias. Sin embargo, queda demostrado desde la fenomenología hermenéutica de que esto no es así. La enfermería bajo el enfoque de la fenomenología hermenéutica hace preponderar la conexión bidireccional existente entre el paciente y su enfermera. Sin olvidar la naturaleza holística de la enfermería, la humanización en la práctica, el intercambio de información, sentimientos y especial vínculo que se establece entre paciente y enfermera, hace destacar el trabajo de la enfermera del resto. Es pues desde este enfoque cuando el parar, sentir, interpretar lo que se nos transmite, teniendo en cuenta nuestra experiencia y también prestando atención a la singularidad de cada persona, dan vida a los cuidados individualizados que la enfermería tanto defiende. Pudiéndose llegar a la conclusión de que sin la fenomenología hermenéutica el cuidado de enfermería quedaría huérfano.

  For some people, nursing is still relegated to the practice of a number of health techniques. However, it is demonstrated from the hermeneutic phenomenology that this is not the case. Nursing under the focus of hermeneutic phenomenology makes the existing bidirectional connection between the patient and their nurse prevail. Without forgetting the holistic nature of nursing, the humanisation in practice, the exchange of in-formation, feelings and the special relationship that is established between patient and nurse, makes the work of the nurse stand out from the rest.It is therefore from this approach that stopping, feeling, interpreting what is transmitted to us, taking into account our experience and also paying attention to the uniqueness of each person, gives life to the individualised care that nursing advocates. We can conclude that without hermeneutic phenomenology nursing care would be orphaned.
