    Guimerá posee un rico patrimonio histórico y cultural que merece ser conocido, estudiado, protegido y divulgado. Desde el punto de vista histórico y arquitectónico la villa de Guimerá ha sido ampliamente reconocida por la extraordinaria singularidad de su urbanismo y arquitectura medieval, siendo declarada conjuno histórico artístico en 1975 por decreto del Ministerio de Educación y ciencia. Sin embargo, no debemos olvidar que la villa de Guimerá atesora un rico patrimonio documental que en muchas ocasiones ni es conocido ni se le ha dado la importancia que realmente tiene. A la riqueza de los fondos documentales municipales y eclesiásticos hay que sumarle la documentación señorial, la generada por los señoríos, baronia y condado que habían gobernado la villa. El presente articulo tiene el objetivo de dar a conocer la documentación señorial de la villa de Guimerà que se conserva en el fondo documental de la Casa Ducal de Híjar del Archivo Histórico Provincial de Zaragoza, una documentación extraordinaria e inédita que abarca de los siglos XIII al XX y que puede servir de base de estudio para futuras investigaciones sobre la historia de Guimerá

    Guimerá has a rich historical and cultural heritage that deserves to be known, studied, protected and disclosed. From the historical and architectural point of view, the town of Guimerá has been widely recognized for the extraordinary uniqueness of its urban planning and medieval architecture, being declared a historical-artistic complex in 1975 by decree of the Ministry of Education and Science. However, we must not forget that the town of Guimerá treasures a rich documentary heritage that on many occasions is neither known nor given the importance it really has. To the wealth of the municipal and ecclesiastical documentary funds, we must add the stately documentation, that generated by the manors, baronia and county that had governed the town. The present article has the objective of making known the stately documentation of the town of Guimerà that is conserved in the documentary collection of the Ducal House of Híjar of the Provincial Historical Archive of Zaragoza, an extraordinary and unpublished documentation that ranges from the 13th to the centuries. XX and that can serve as a study base for future research on the history of Guimerá
