    Nuestro articulo pretende reflexionar sobre el concepto de patrimonio histórico (en su vertiente arquitectónica y artística) en relación con la comarca del Urgell. ¿Que es lo que entendemos por patrimonio y desde cuándo lo valoramos?¿Cuál es el lugar del Urgell en el imaginario patrimoniall y turístico catalán?. Con ello intentamos dilucidar cuál es la percepción (incluso de los propios habitantes del territorio) respecto a su patrimonio cultural, qué períodos históricos han sido más valorados, cuál es la suerte que han corrido algunos elementos patrimoniales dispersos en distintos museos y qué monumentos se han convertido en un emblema para "vender" el atractivo comarcal en el exterior

    Our article aims to reflect on the concept of historical heritage (in its architectural and artistic aspect) in relation to the Urgell region. What do we understand by heritage and since when do we value it? What is the place of Urgell in the Catalan heritage and tourist imagination? With this we try to elucidate what is the perception (even of the inhabitants of the territory) regarding its cultural heritage, what historical periods have been most valued, what is the fate of some heritage elements scattered in different museums and what monuments have been turned into an emblem to "sell" the regional appeal abroad
