    Los modelos y teorías enfermeras, son uno de los ejes principales que estructuran y fundamentan el currículum educativo pero a menudo sin una proyección en la práctica profesional, por lo que es importante reflexionar sobre estos conceptos, más ahora en que el proceso de Convergencia Europea en Educación Superior, comportará cambios importantes en la formación de grado y postgrado y por tanto la puesta en marcha de nuevos planes de estudio. Analizar el marco conceptual de referencia, ha de permitir la evolución hacia modelos que posibiliten el acercamiento entre teoría y práctica, y ayudar a explicar mejor lo que hacemos y también a analizar las organizaciones sanitarias en las que trabajamos para poder valorar si permiten desarrollar nuestras responsabilidades de cuidados y/o poder generar cambios que ayuden a modificar los entornos y permitan el desarrollo de la profesión desde una perspectiva ética.

    Nursing models and theories are one of the main axis that structure and fundament the educational curriculum, but often without having a projection onto the professional practice. This is why it is important to reflect over these concepts, specially now when the process off European Convergence in Higher Education, will bring about important changes in the basic and postgraduate training and therefore the development of new syllabus. The analyses of the conceptual framework of reference, has to be useful in the evolution towards models that make possible bringing nearer theory and practices, and that help to explain better what be do. Also analyse the health organisations in which be work in order to assess if they allow us to develop our responsibilities of care and/or unable us to generate changes that help to modify the settings and allow the development of the profession from an ethical perspective.
