    La insurgencia hutí se ha convertido en uno de los actores de mayor envergadura en el conflicto que asola Yemen. Qué es el Movimiento Hutí, qué pretende y cómo ha conseguido pasar de ser un movimien-to insurgente más a poder convertirse en un «Estado dentro del Es-tado» y poner en jaque al Gobierno yemení es el propósito principal de este ensayo. A través de este análisis estudiamos los orígenes de dicho conflicto, su desarrollo, situación actual y el papel de las po-tencias exteriores, en especial atendiendo a la presencia de los grupos yihadistas en este contexto y a la «guerra fría»entre Arabia Saudí e Irán. Se analiza cómo la naturaleza tribal de su sociedad condiciona el devenir de cualquier agente estatal, toda vez que ello ha constitui-do un pilar fundamental sobre el que han tenido que asentarse tanto los gobiernos previos al inicio de las hostilidades como los diferentes grupos.

    The Huthi insurgency has become one of the largest actors in the conflict that Asola Yemen. What is the Huthi movement, what it wants and how it has managed to move from being an insurgent movement more to being able to become a state within the state and to put in check the Yemeni gov-ernment is the main purpose of this essay. Through this analysis we study the origins of this conflict, its development, current situation and the role of the external powers, especially in response to the presence of jihadi groups in this context and the cold war between Saudi Arabia and Iran. It analyses how the tribal nature of its society conditions the becoming of any state agent, since this has constituted a fundamental pillar on which have had to settle both the governments prior to the beginning of the hostilities as the different groups
