    Els veïns d’Alforja treballarien conjuntament, a partir de 1792, per concloure el campanar de la seva església parroquial de Sant Miquel, alçada en diverses fases constructives al llarg dels segles Es presenten aquí noves dades sobre com havia de ser aquell campanar, des de l’aplicació del vintè i a qui afectaria aquella talla o la importància del seu disseny elaborat per un anònim mestre tarragoní A banda, aquell campanar és una de les torres, a nivell estètic, més interessants de les aixecades a finals del segle XVIII a l’arxidiòcesi tarragonina

    Starting 1792, the residents of Alforja would work together to complete the bell tower of their parish church of Sant Miquel, built in various construction phases over the centuries. New data are presented here on that bell tower, from the application of the tax and who would have to pay it or the impor-tance of its design elaborated by an anonymous master from Tarragona. In addition, aesthetically, that bell tower is one of the most remarkable towers of those built at the end of the 18th Century in the Archdiocese of Tarragona.
