    En este artículo ofrecemos una visión histórica del territorio durante los siglos XI al XIII, centurias en las que estuvo activo el castillo de Ereñozar. El otro de los objetivos de este trabajo era ofrecer una visión sobre el desarrollo, formación y funcionalidad del castillo de Ereñozar, aportando información al debate y a las actuales propuestas interpretativas que existen sobre este tipo de yacimientos.

    In this article, we offer a historicaloverview of this territory from the 11th through the 13th centuries, the period of time when the Ereñozar castle was active. The other goal of this work is to offer a vision of the deve lopment, formation and functionality of the Ereñozar castle, that will contribute to the debate and to present interpretive proposalson such archeological sites.
