    En este artículo no pretendemos, ni mucho menos, hacer un tratado de prótesis, eso sí, destacar los aspectos más importantes del tratamiento protésico en el paciente geriátrico, para ello analizaremos siempre por separado los problemas y las soluciones del anciano desdentado total y parcialmente.

    En primer lugar, en todos los pacientes, pero particularmente sobre pacientes de edad avanzada y de pronóstico incierto, es fundamental saber cuáles son las expectativas del paciente con respecto a la futura prótesis para determinar sus ventajas y también sus inconvenientes.

    In this article we don't ty to make a treatise of prosthesis, but we are going to emphasize the most important aspects of the prosthetic treatment in a geriatric patient, for this we will always analise separatedly problems and solutions of the total and partially toothless old man.

    In the first place, in all patients but in particular with patients with uncertain prognosis and elderly, is fundamental to know which are the prospect of the patient in relation to the future prosthesis to decide its advantages and also its objections.
