Resumen de Los primeros villancicos líricos de la Capilla Real de Madrid

El villancico fue uno de los géneros que gozó de mayor éxito durante el siglo xvii. Este tipo de composición poético-musical permitía amenizar los oficios religiosos de diversas festividades (Navidad y Epifanía, especialmente), por eso tuvieron tan buena acogida por parte del público, tanto del más exquisito como del más popular. Uno de los centros más importantes para el desarrollo del género fue la Capilla Real de Madrid, pues a ella acudían los reyes y toda la corte. En líneas generales, los villancicos pueden dividirse en dos grandes grupos: villancicos líricos y villancicos dramáticos. Los segundos bebían del teatro breve y tendían a la comicidad, mientras que los primeros demostraban una religiosidad más ortodoxa.
El objetivo de este estudio es el de analizar los rasgos definitorios de los villancicos líricos compuestos para la Capilla Real durante el reinado de Felipe IV (a partir de 1644, fecha del primer pliego que conservamos), para poder establecer cuáles son las características que diferencian a este grupo, menos estudiado por la crítica, lo que permitirá seguir más fielmente su evolución a lo largo del tiempo

The villancico was one of the most successful genres during the 17th century. This kind of poetic-musical composition allowed to enliven the religious services of various festivities (specially, Christmas and Epiphany), that is why it was so appreciated by the public, both the most refined and the most popular. One of the most important centres for the development of the genre was the Royal Chapel of Madrid, since the monarchs and the court attended it. Generally speaking, villancicos can be divided into two large groups: lyrical villancicos and dramatic villancicos.
These were inspired by comical plays, while the others showed an orthodox religiousness. This study aims to analyse the main features of the lyrical villancicos written during the reign of Felipe IV (from 1644, date of the first document that is conserved), to determine which are the characteristics of these villancicos, less studied by the scholars, which will allow following their evolution through the time
