    La Web 2 ha permitido formas nuevas de colaboración a través de Internet, lo que está teniendo un fuerte impacto en la educación. El trabajo de profesores y estudiantes se ve profundamente afectado con la disponibilidad de recursos electrónicos y la creación de campus virtuales en prácticamente todas las universidades. Los geógrafos fueron conscientes desde muy pronto de las potencialidades de la WWW y de la utilidad de ésta para el estudio de su ciencia. Al mismo tiempo, el impacto de las nuevas tecnologías geográficas ha producido una revolución tecnológica en la disciplina. En el artículo se presentan algunos Departamentos Virtuales de Geografía y sitios apropiados para obtener materiales diversos sobre esta ciencia.

    The Web 2 has allowed new forms of collaboration through the Internet, which is having a major impact on education. The work of teachers and students is deeply concerned with the availability of electronic resources and the creation of virtual campuses in virtually all universities. Geographers were aware very early of the potential of the WWW and the utility of this for the study of science. At the same time, the impact of new geographic technologies has produced a technological revolution in the discipline. The article presents some Virtual Departments of Geography and appropriate sites for various materials on this science.
