    Esse trabalho tem por intuito principal apresentar e discutir algumas fontes que permitam o estudo sobre a evolução do emprego formal dos trabalhadores no setor de segurança e proteção, tanto da vida humana como da propriedade Nesse intuito, sugerimos sítios nacionais e internacionais que permitam o levantamento de dados e informações que possibilitam a construção de trabalhos científicos que venham contribuir para a compreensão do fenômeno.
