“Culturahistorica.es” was born in 2009 as an international web site on the theory of history, historiography, and historical culture. Its creator and promoter, a Professor at Barcelona University, analyizes the origins, features, and contents of this resource, which allows us to be aware of the elasticity of the human condition. The author also offers some key statistics concerning this online site’s diffusion. This communicative proposal is considered in the context of other such initiatives in the same thematic field. The author pays homage to Georg G. Iggers and Charles-Olivier Carbonell, two great figures of reference in the history of historiography, who have passed away in the past five years.

“Culturahistorica.es” nació en 2009 como un portal web internacional de teoría de la historia, historiografía y cultura histórica. Su impulsor, Catedrático emérito de la Universidad de Barcelona, analiza aquí el origen, las características y los contenidos de este recurso que permite captar la plasticidad de la condición humana. Aporta también estadísticas relevantes sobre la difusión de este portal web. Esta propuesta comunicativa se considera en el contexto de otras iniciativas del mismo ámbito temático. El autor rinde homenaje a Georg G. Iggers y Charles-Olivier Carbonell: dos grandes referentes para la historia de la historiografía, desaparecidos en los últimos cinco años.
