    Este ensayo se motiva a partir de la pregunta en torno a los aportes que hacen los estudios de las ideas a sus propios lugares de desenvolvimiento (ecosistemas intelectuales) y, más ampliamente, a sus efectos sobre el pensamiento y la intelectualidad y, también, sobre las sociedades regionales y hasta mundiales. Consta de dos partes: en la primera, se ofrece una cartografía de los principales grupos de trabajo que se ocupan de los estudios sobre las ideas y temas inmediatos en América Latina, como también de los proyectos que expresan el quehacer de este ámbito disciplinar. Ello se realiza sobre la base de una pauta elaborada con cuatro preguntas: las bases sobre las que se forman grupos y proyectos, las principales figuras que los promueven, las figuras asociadas a estos y las otras instancias con las cuales se articulan. En la segunda parte (que se publicará en un número posterior), se intenta responder a otras dos preguntas: una, referida a los trazos marcantes del quehacer de los estudios eidéticos en la región y, otra, relativa a las contribuciones realizadas que permiten (o no) mejorar dicho quehacer, en los sentidos de hacerlo (o no) más consistente, más pertinente y capaz de aprender, adaptarse y renovarse.

    This essay emerges from the question about the contributions the studies of ideas make to their own places of development such as intellectual ecosystems and, more broadly, from the question about the effect that they produce on thought and intellectuality and on regional and global societies, in case there is such effect. The essay is divided in two parts: the first part tries to make a mapping of the main working groups that deal with studies on ideas and immediate matters in Latin America, as well as the projects that display the task of this field discipline during that period. This is done on the basis of a guideline elaborated on four questions: the bases on which groups and projects are formed, the main figures that promote them, the figures associated to them, and other instances in which they are articulated. In the second part (to be published in a later issue) there will be an attempt to answer two rather qualitative questions on the basis of a developed cartography: the question about the striking traces of the work of eidetic studies in the region, and the question about the contributions made that would allow (or not) improving that task: everything that contributes to making it more consistent, more relevant as well as able to learn, adapt and renew itself.
