El presente estudio analiza la relación entre el texto colonial titulado Baile de la conquista y la violencia histórica en Guatemala. En primer lugar, se caracteriza el texto y sus variantes, para luego contrastar lo narrado con los hechos históricos del proceso de conquista de Guatemala por parte de los españoles.

This study analyzes the relation between the colonial text titled Baile de la conquista and the historical violence in Guatemala. In the first place, the study characterizes the text and its variants, then it contrasts the sto-ry with the historical facts of the conquest of Guatemala by the spanish.
