The historical economic literature on fascism is huge. Nonetheless, as it is also testified by the interesting articles in this issue of Rivista di Storia Economica, the collection of micro data, new statistical tools such as those related to managing and elaborating data at the spatial level, and new econometric techniques, could further contribute to a better understanding of some aspects of fascism. In this vein, this note suggests three topics that could be fruitfully reexamined: these are protectionism, demographic policies and corporativism.
