Elevación transcrestal mínimamente invasiva versus osteótomos: Revisión bibliográfica

    El objetivo principal es realizar una actualización bibliográfica de las diferentes técnicas de elevación transcrestal, realizando un análisis comparativo entre la técnica de referencia y la elevación transcrestal.

    Se realizó una búsqueda manual, junto a una búsqueda electrónica en PUBMED, Medline y Cochrane con los términos MesH siguientes: «den-tal implants» AND «survival rate» AND «sinus lift» AND «osteotome technique» OR «transcrestal elevation» AND «minimally invasive sinus lift» OR «atraumatic elevation» OR «inactive drills» OR «hydraulic system» OR «SCA» OR «osstem» AND maxilla.

    Tras la lectura total de los 48 artículos, 20 de ellos no ofrecían información útil o presentaban criterios de exclusión, por lo que los artículos definitivamente elegidos fueron 25.

    Al finalizar esta investigación se puede concluir que las técnicas surgidas posteriores a la técnica de osteótomos obtienen resultados similares entre sí, siendo menos invasivas para el paciente y, además de que en la actualidad se puede realizar la elevación en crestas con menor altura mediante el abordaje cristal, sin embargo, se necesita mayor evidencia científica de estas técnicas.

    Se tomarán en cuenta las técnicas presentadas desde el 2014 hasta el 2019, analizando al mismo tiempo los pros y los contras de cada una de ellas.

    Se compararán los resultados de cada una de las técnicas y sus aplicaciones.

    The main objective of this investigation is to do an update of the litera-ture and review the different techniques of transcrestal elevation, doing a comparison between the reference technique and the technique with osteotomes.

    A manual search was performed, together with an electronic search in PUBMED, Medline and Cochrane with the following MesH terms: «dental implants» AND «survival rate» AND «sinus lift» AND «osteotome technique» OR «transcrestal elevation» AND «minimally invasive sinus lift» OR «atraumatic elevation» OR «inactive drills» OR «hydraulic system» OR «SCA» OR «osstem» AND maxilla.

    After the total reading of the 48 articles, 20 of them did not offer useful information or presented exclusion criteria, so the articles definitively chosen were 25.

    After finalizing the past investigation it is concluded that the techniques that came after the osteotome technique obtain almost the same results but it resulted in a less invasive procedure for the patient, at the same time these new techniques allow the surgeons to perform elevations with a smaller crystal bone size with the crestal approach. At the same time further studies are needed.
