    Este artículo presenta algunas de las conclusiones de una investigación aplicada a las mujeres del ámbito rural vasco. Dicha investigación ha sido encargada y financiada por Mendikoi y supone la Fase I («Diagnóstico de la Situación») de un Programa de Acción Positiva hacia el Colectico de Mujeres del Medio Rural presentado en respuesta a la demanda realizada por la «Dirección de Desarrollo y Coordinación del Medio Rural» del Departamento de Industria, Agricultura y Pesca del Gobierno Vasco. El objetivo último de esta investigación es identificar el colectivo o colectivos-tipo sobre los que se va a trabajar (definición del público objetivo) y sobre las bases de este conocimiento programar las actuaciones que mejor respondan a su situación, características, demandas y necesidades. En este artículo incluimos la definición de ruralidad que hemos utilizado para poder operacionalizar la realidad y crear la muestra. También aportamos datos que ponen de manifiesto el cambio en la definición del papel de la mujer en el ámbito rural y cómo esta nueva ubicación social puede condicionar significativamente el futuro de las zonas rurales.

    The following article presents some of the conclusions reached in research applied to women in the Basque rural environment. The research has been commissioned and financed by Mendikoi and involves Phase I: «A Situation Diagnosis» of a Programme of Positive Action towards the Women’s Collective in the Rural Environment presented in answer to a request from the «Department of Development and Coordination in the Rural Environment» of the Department of Industry, Agriculture and Fisheries of the Basque Government. The ultimate aim of this research is to identify the collective or collective types which are to be worked on (definition of objective public) and on the bases of this knowledge to programme the actions which best respond to the situation, characteristics, demands and needs. In this article we include the definition of «rurality» which we have used in order to be able to operationalise the reality and create the sample. We also provide data which highlight the change in the definition of the role of women in the rural environment and how this new social positioning can significantly condition the future of rural areas.

    Euskal nekazalgunetako emakumeei zuzenduriko ikerketa baten emaitzetako batzuk aurkezten dira artikulu honetan. Ikerketa hori Mendikoi erakundeak agindu eta finantzatu du eta Nekazalguneko Emakume-multzoaren Laguntzarako Programaren I. Atala da (Egoeraren Diagnostikoa), eta Eusko Jaurlaritzako Industria, Nakazaritza eta Arrantza Sailak egindako eskakizuna. Ikerketa honen azken helburua da langai izango diren talde edo talde-ereduak identifikatzea (helburu publikoaren zehaztapena) eta, ezagutza honetan oinarriturik, euren egoeraren ezaugarri, eskakizun eta beharrei hobekien erantzungo dieten ekintzak programatzea. Eskaintzen dugu, halaber, artikulu honetan, errealitatea operazionalizatzeko eta geurea eraikitzeko erabili dugun nekazaltasunaren definizioa. Ekartzen ditugu, honez gain, nekazalgunetako emakumearen zereginaren definizioan gertatu den aldaketa nabarmenari buruzko datuak, izan ere, giza kokapen berri honek modu esanguratsuan baldintzatu baititzake etorkizunean nekazalguneak.
