    Este relato se centra en la vida de una señora de 63 años, que desconocía que su marido era alcohólico cuando se casó. Se convirtió en su cuidadora sin recibir formación para ello hace treinta y cuatro años, tras sufrir un accidente que le dejó parapléjico. Ahora se vuelve a enfrentar a otra situación de cuidado complejo cuando es diagnosticado de cáncer de laringe en 2006 y tiene que ser laringectomizado. Durante su hospitalización ella reclama la realización de los cuidados de su marido y refiere que él no se merece esto y ella aún menos, ya que esto aumenta su trabajo.

    Se sincera y nos relata los conflictos generados en su familia como consecuencia del alcoholismo, su relación sentimental con su marido, su situación socioeconómica y el maltrato recibido, situación que lleva en silencio para no darle mala fama porque lo quiere. Ella se define como una persona de carácter fuerte y alegre, características que le han ayudado a afrontar esta situación, dándolo todo a cambio de nada y luchando para que a él no le falte nada, sin recibir una muestra de cariño por su parte.

    This account focuses in the life of a sixty three year old woman who didn´t know that her husband was alcoholic when they got married. She became her carer thirty four years ago without receiving the necessary formation for that when her husband had an accident and he became paraplegic. Now she is facing another complex care situation when he was diagnosed with a larynx cancer in 2006 and he has to be laringectomized. During his stay in the hospital she demands the carrying out his husband´s cares and she says he doesn´t deserve that, and she doesn´t either, because it increases her work.

    She opens her heart to us and she tells the conflicts generated in her family because of the alcoholism, her relationship, her socioeconomic situation and the physical and verbal abuse she suffered. She keeps this situation in silence because she wants to. She defines herself like a happy and strong person, characteristics that have helped her to face this situation, giving everything in return for nothing and fighting for her husband without receiving any affection
