The author concludes that "although scholars of early Christianity often speak as if we know the exact circumstances of the discovery of the Nag Hammadi codices, in fact we know only the general area in which locals assert the books were found" (113). [...]one should note that Nongbri relies here entirely on the paleographical methodology he was undermining in the Prologue (5, see quoted above).
