    El trasplante hepático se ha convertido, con el paso de los años, en una forma de tratamiento para aquellos enfermos con patología hepática terminal o fallo hepático agudo, con excelentes resultados en términos de calidad de vida y supervivencia. J. se somete a trasplante hepático en agosto del año 2000. En este relato nos cuenta sus vivencias y recuerdos del trasplante, cómo ha afrontado las distintas etapas de la enfermedad, y cómo es su vida después de seis años trasplantado. Ha sido fundamental el apoyo recibido por su familia en todo momento. Su carácter y forma de ver las cosas ha cambiado después de haber tenido la experiencia de vivir una enfermedad crónica e irreversible teniendo siempre la esperanza de la llegada de un órgano.

    The hepatic transplant has turned, along the years, into a treatment for those patients with hepatic terminal pathology or acute hepatic failure, with excellent results in terms of quality of life and survival. J. underwent the hepatic transplant in August, 2000. In this story he tells us his experiences and memories about the transplant, the way he faced the different stages of the disease, and how his life is now after six years transplanted. The support of his family at all the time was decisive. His spirit and the way he faces his live have changed after the experience of living through a chronic and irreversible disease, with the hope of the arrival of an organ.
