Resumen de Reflexiones sobre el trabajo infantil: ¿abuso o conciencia social?

  El trabajo infantil es un fenómeno complejo, la mayoría de los discursos sostienen que la práctica de actividades laborales de niñas, niños y adolescentes es inapropiada porque afecta su estado general y el adecuado desarrollo de la etapa que transita. En este trabajo, se reflexionó acerca de las posturas existentes en torno al trabajo infantil como maltrato o generación de conciencia social. Se trata de un estudio documental donde se revisaron y analizaron desde una perspectiva crítica, distintos trabajos de investigación relacionados con el tema, concepciones, discursos y políticas existentes en el ámbito internacional y nacional. Finalmente, pareciese que la posible abolición del trabajo infantil está más cerca de ser una utopía ya que, por más normas que se creen sin garantizar la igualdad y la equidad social, siempre existirán niños, niñas y adolescentes trabajadores/as en la clandestinidad. Sólo creando un marco legal que norme la actividad laboral infantil, incluyendo el derecho a su educación, recreación, salud y hogar digno, aunado a una verdadera conciencia colectiva, pudiese pensarse en una actividad no solo necesaria para extirpar la explotación de niños, niñas y adolescentes trabajadores/as, sino en una que refuerce la formación de conciencia social y junto con otros factores, genere ciudadanos.

  Child labor is a complex phenomenon, most of the speeches maintain that the practice of work activities of girls, boys and adolescents is inappropriate because it affects their general state and the proper development of the stage that is passing. In this work, we reflected on the existing positions regarding child labor as mistreatment or generation of social conscience. It is a documentary study where different research works related to the topic, conceptions, discourses and existing policies in the international and national scope were reviewed and analyzed from a critical perspective. Finally, it seemed that the possible abolition of child labor is closer to being a utopia than a reality because, for more rules that are created without guaranteeing equality and social equity, there will always be working children and adolescents in hiding. Only created a legal framework that regulates child labor, including the right to education, recreation, health and decent home, coupled with a true collective consciousness, could think of an activity not only necessary to remove the exploitation of children and adolescent workers, but in one that reinforces the formation of social conscience and that along with other factors, generates citizens.
